This is a bright, open gallery on the Museum’s first floor. The entrance area is mirror-lined and adorned with a 400-pound glass “Golden Egg” symbolizing the hope that brought millions of immigrants to America’s shores.
Visitors to this gallery learn amazing facts about why their ancestors risked everything to make the hazardous journey to America. Also featured is a Children of Immigrants exhibit, honoring men and women who fulfilled their parents’ dreams by obtaining remarkable success in this land of opportunity.
