Become a Contributor
The National Liberty Museum does not receive ongoing support from the federal government; therefore, we depend greatly on annual contributions from individuals, foundations and corporations to carry out our work to defuse violence and hate. Pledges of $10,000 or more play an important role in helping the Museum continue our core programs and grow in new directions. We will work with you on a contribution program that advances your philanthropic mission, is maximally impactful, and meets your budget parameters (payable over multiple years, if desired).
Benefits to Contributors
Our Contributors enjoy a wide range of benefits based on their level of support. These may include:
- Permanent addition of your name to the Museum’s Wall of Honor, which more than 65,000 visitors pass in front of each year
- Sponsorship recognition on the Museum’s letterhead, and in our printed and electronic communications
- Invitations to special exhibition dedications, galas and lectures
- Complimentary seats at the Museum’s annual Glass Auction Banquet and exclusive dinners during the Glass Auction Weekend
- Tickets to the Museum’s annual award ceremony dinners
- Complimentary Family Memberships to share with your friends and associates
- Invitations to exclusive events hosted by our Chairman and Founder
- Opportunities to host parties or events at the Museum’s facility
How Contributors Support our Work
Your contribution can be applied in one or more of the following ways:
- Support of our daily operations
Your contribution is directly applied to our work teaching young people throughout our community and beyond to reject violence and hate.
- Named exhibit sponsorship
You can help us maintain or add to our exhibition seen by tens of thousands of visitors each year by adding your family name to one of our important exhibits or works of art.
- Sponsorship of educational tours at the Museum
Each year approximately 40,000 area young people tour the Museum with their school, youth group, community organization or a social service agency. All tours are subsidized by outside contributions. You are welcome to name a specific school or youth group to receive your support.
- Support for the Museum’s community outreach programs
For schools that can’t afford to visit the Museum, our educators bring our anti-violence and anti-bullying training programs directly to them. Our contributors enable us to offer this outreach at no charge to schools.
- Support for the Museum’s accredited Teacher Training Institute
The institute offers professional development credits to area teachers and school counselors on topics relating to the Museum’s mission, including anti-bullying, abuse prevention, promoting tolerance for diversity, non-violent communication and others. Tuition is subsidized by outside contributions.
- Support for one of the Museum’s important capital improvement projects
Located just steps away from Independence Hall, our Museum is registered with the Federal Park Service and is an important Liberty Trail landmark. Your support enables us to carry out new capital projects that maximize the use of our space and ensure the longevity of our building.
